Friday will stay dry with long sunny periods and only the odd patch of cloud. The day will feel mild in the strong southeast wind. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

The evening will be dry with clear periods and a strong southeast wind. Cloud will spread across Shetland after midnight when the wind will reach gale force along exposed coasts. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday 27 September :

A bright and dry start to the morning will be followed by cloud moving over Orkney in the afternoon and rain following east towards the evening. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Rain Sunday morning turns showery in the afternoon but clears overnight and into Monday. After a dry day on Monday patchy rain will spread east Tuesday.
