Mainly dry for evening with best of the clear spells appearing across Orkney. Cloud thickening form southwest overnight to bring occasional rain, with the chance of heavier outbreaks by dawn. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday 1 October :

Unsettled with periods of rain turning heavy and persistent at times, particularly on Friday. Winds remaining in the south, occasionally strong, also perhaps gale force for Friday. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
