Tonight:

Cloudy overnight for Shetland with patchy rain and drizzle. For Orkney, largely dry evening with clear spell, thicker cloud, rain and drizzle spreading southwards overnight. Moderate to fresh westerly winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Thursday 16 October :

For Shetland, cloudy with a little drizzle possible in the morning before clearing to dry conditions and sunny spells in the afternoon. Cloudy for Orkney with patchy rain and drizzle. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Dry with sunny spells and light winds on Friday and Saturday. Turning cloudier and more unsettled on Sunday with winds strengthening and rain possible later.
