All across the United States millions of Americans took part in No Kings marches, rallies and events on 18 October.

People came out to reassert the very foundation of the United States when Britain’s American colonies rose up in successful rebellion against King George III.

Social media has been flooded with images from the US and from around the world of No Kings protests. From gilding the Oval Office to sending in gangs of armed ICE agents into communities, the President of the US has created division and fear where none was before.

People responded in peaceful protest and rallies:

  1. I’ve often wondered what Mr. Obama makes of what’s happening to/in the nation that he worked so hard for…..

  2. Good question Bernie Bell, and I wonder about that too. Unfortunately it seems that the corrupt, corporate-owned, mainstream US news media is determined not to give a voice to admired Democratic leaders like Obama. I live in the US state of New York btw. We had a terrific anti-Trump demonstration on the village green of my small town yesterday. Tremendous turnout and very peaceful of course.

  3. I’m not a big fan of many aspects of Social Media, but this is where it can play a part. If The Media won’t present factual information, then the public can do what they can, themselves. And…local media – tho’ maybe they’d get into trouble if they tried to?
It’s hard to believe how so much has gone so wrong in such a short time. It is a fact though, that all such ‘Empires’ fall. Horrible living through it – but they do fall. HOLD ON.
