    In August I wrote about a particularly interesting caterpillar in one of our flower-beds…

    It got bigger and bigger, then disappeared. We presume/hope that it pupated in the soil or down among the leaf litter at the base of the plant it was feeding on.

    I’m now getting round to snipping back the dead foliage off plants and have reminded myself to be very careful round that particular plant. Maybe I’d best be careful, generally.
