A breezy day, bright spells and a dry start for Shetland. Frequent and heavy showers over Orkney spread across Shetland from mid-morning. These showers begin to clear Orkney towards the evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Breezy. Frequent and heavy showers over Shetland in the evening otherwise clear spells and mostly dry Orkney, spreading to Shetland later. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Sunday 2 November :

After a dry and bright start cloud and outbreaks of rain, some heavy, soon spread northeast. Breezy with strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled and breezy with showers and outbreaks of rain at times throughout this period. Occasionally drier and brighter for a time Wednesday.
