A mostly cloudy morning with outbreaks of rain, with mist and low cloud, the rain becomes increasingly confined to Shetland. Some brighter spells may develop across Orkney this afternoon. Occasionally strong northeasterly winds turning more southerly and easing. Very mild. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tonight:
Remaining misty with low cloud and, especially Shetland, occasional rain through the evening and overnight. However some clear spells are possible, especially across western Orkney. Occasionally fresh southerly breeze easing. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Friday 7 November :
Another rather cloudy day with mist, low cloud and occasional rain and drizzle. Orkney again seeing some brighter or sunnier spells, especially in west. Southeasterly breeze becoming occasionally fresh later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Mostly cloudy Saturday with occasional rain. Sunday starts dry and bright, but cloud increasing in afternoon with rain later, the rain clearing overnight to leave Monday dry with sunny spells.
