Cloudy with mist and fog over Shetland at first otherwise dry with sunny spells. A band of cloud and rain spreads north over Orkney from early afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Rain will continue north over Shetland for a time from the evening. Clear and dry conditions follow over Orkney from the evening and Shetland from late evening. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday 10 November :

After a dry start outbreaks of rain spread over the Isles, some heavy and persistent. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Mostly cloudy with only the occasional bright spell. Showery with showers becoming persistent over Orkney Wednesday. Light winds strengthen for a time Wednesday.
