Strong to gale north to northeast winds. A dull morning with periods of rain turning heavier at times. Rain breaking up to showers by mid-afternoon, with some limited late brightness possible. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Strong north to northeast winds pushing frequent showers across the Northern Isles, with some turning heavy and bringing the chance of hail and thunder. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Thursday 13 November :

Feeling cold in strong northerly winds, which continue to push frequent showers across the Northern Isles, these occasionally heavy and turning wintry at times later in the day. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Friday and Sunday seeing northerly winds bringing occasional showers and brighter spells. Saturday dry and sunny with light winds.
