Since the agreed ceasefire in Gaza, 10 October, two children a day have been killed by Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, on 17 November, the UN Security Council adopted “the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict of 29 September 2025″ .

It is based upon the Trump Peace Plan which was originally put forward on 13 October 2025 and would establish a ‘Board of Peace’ (BoP):

“as a transitional administration with international legal personality that will set the framework, and coordinate funding for, the redevelopment of Gaza”

To ensure the BoP strategies are enforced a temporary International Stabilization Force (ISF) would be set up under a unified command.

The ISF shall work with Israel and Egypt, without prejudice to their existing agreements, along with the newly trained and vetted Palestinian police force, to help secure border areas;

  • stabilize the security environment in Gaza by ensuring the process of demilitarizing the Gaza Strip, including the destruction and prevention of rebuilding of the military, terror, and offensive infrastructure, as well as the permanent decommissioning of weapons from non-state armed groups; protect civilians, including humanitarian operations;
  • train and provide support to the vetted Palestinian police forces; coordinate with relevant States to secure humanitarian corridors;
  • and undertake such additional tasks as may be necessary in support of the Comprehensive Plan.

It is intended that the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) would gradually fall back, “save for a security perimeter presence that will remain until Gaza is properly secure from any resurgent terror threat.”

Israel has continued its airstrikes on Gaza despite there being a ‘Ceasefire’, and has increased its military operations in The West Bank where illegal settlers are attacking and burning Palestinian homes and businesses.

UNICEF, report that 67 children in Gaza have been killed in “conflict-related incidents” since the ceasefire was announced on 10 October, at a rate of two a day. It is estimated that 280 Gazans have been killed and 672 injured since the ceasefire, in addition to 571 bodies recovered from the rubble.

World attention may have been focussed on the horrors of the Gaza Genocide but between 7 October 2023 and 7 November 2025, 994 Palestinians – among them at least 218 children – were killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Of those, 188 Palestinians, including at least 45 children, were killed since the beginning of this year alone.

Israeli forces have invaded three Refugee Camps in the north of The West Bank: Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams. Satellite data through UNOSAT acquired images collected on 16 October 2025, on 21 May 2025, on 12 March 2025, on 21 October 2023, and on 17 June 2023. These images were then used for comparison and to detect changes within the areas of interest.

Jenin Camp

Jenin Camp: According to the satellite imagery analysis, UNOSAT identified 201 destroyed structures, 117 severely damaged structures, and 358 moderately damaged structures for a total of 676 structures. These correspond to around 52% of the total structures that have been damaged in Jenin Camp.

This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.

Nur Shams Camp

Given the continuing attacks by the Israeli military in Gaza and the destruction ongoing in The West Bank, Peace campaigners in Orkney will meet in Vigil. They will be standing on the Kirk Green, outside St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall between 1 and 2pm on Saturday 22 November.

The islanders welcome all those who wish to join with them in calling for a permanent ceasefire and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.
