By Bernie Bell.

It was Mike’s birthday, so we went to Sheila Fleet’s for lunch, which was gorgeous as ever.

They’ve got a Christmas menu which mentions Rudolph – but does have Vegan options!

The entrance  has a festive arch around the door, where a warm light invites you in

Metal gates at Sheila Fleet's with a view to the arched doorway framed in green leaves

There’s a tea-set as deccies

and in use

glass tea pot with tea in it a cup saucer and milk jug

Birds and berries along the shelves

Plus mistletoe around the booths and a big Christmas tree in the jewellery gallery.

But the main attraction for me is….the food

meal on the table

Fact is…we did the same last year…

  1. I’m in the Gate Appreciation Society…… friend Pete, who is a Blacksmith and appreciates gates, introduced me. I posted pics of the gates at Sheila Fleet’s and, so far, 121 people have liked them and there have been appreciative comments. All advertising for Sheila Fleet – and for Orkney!
