It will be cloudy with rain at first, this heavy at times. This will clear Orkney through the morning, and Shetland in the afternoon, allowing bright or sunny spells to develop. Very strong winds for Shetland at first. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with quite frequent showers for Shetland at first. Otherwise clear spell and just a few showers in the evening, becoming dry with clear spells overnight. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Wednesday 3 December :

Dry with bright or sunny spells in the morning, but clouding over as showery rain spreads north through the afternoon. Strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

There will be variable amounts of cloud and bright spells from Thursday through to Saturday as bands of rain and showers pass northeast over the Isles. Windy at times.
