Dry start with some sunny spells, lasting longest over Orkney. Shetland clouding over with some showers later in morning, some heavy with thunder. Showers also reaching Orkney during the afternoon, but clearing again towards evening. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Orkney will have a dry evening and night with some clear spells. The heavier showers will clear Shetland this evening then clear spells and more isolated showers overnight. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Thursday 4 December :

Bright or sunny intervals and occasional showers. There will be a moderate to fresh southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

There will be variable amounts of cloud and bright or sunny intervals along with some showers. Fresh east or southeasterly winds.
