A few bright spells over Shetland at first otherwise cloudy with scattered showers. These showers merge into longer periods of rain over Orkney for a time around midday and over Shetland from the late afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Outbreaks of showery rain will linger over Shetland through the night. Scattered showers continue over Orkney for a time before dying as clear spells increase later. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday 7 December :

A dry day with bright or sunny spells for Orkney. Shetland will see cloudy skies and scattered showers clearing as the late afternoon becomes drier and brighter. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times clear during Monday. Further outbreaks of heavy rain push northeast Tuesday with frequent showers following from Wednesday morning.
