Today 4 January :

Another very cold day with frequent and heavy snow and hail showers, which may be thundery at times, and some sunny intervals in between Strong northerly winds will bring some drifting though winds over Shetland easing later. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Tonight:

Further snow showers this evening and tonight, some heavy, bringing further accumulations. Moderate north to northeasterly breeze. Another very cold night. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Monday 5 January :

Bright or sunny intervals and occasional snow showers, these becoming less frequent, and some bright or sunny intervals. Moderate north or northwest breeze. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Remaining cold with some bright or sunny spells but also some sleet and snow showers, less frequent than of late.

  1. Happy New Year and “warm“ greetings from Germany. (about -1 to -4 degrees Celsius in the lower Rhine area, with not as much snow as you are experiencing right now) I have just found out about this website and am totally excited and grateful.
