A mostly cloudy day with scattered showers. The showers become frequent over Orkney in the afternoon as Shetland turns drier with the odd bright spell. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Tonight:

Dry over Shetland and frequent evening showers over Orkney clear from the late evening. This will leave a dry period through the night before showers return towards morning. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday 27 January :

Cloudy with morning showers dying by the afternoon. Rain will spread north across Orkney later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 3 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Rain clears north Wednesday morning to leave a few afternoon showers. Showers become scattered Thursday and frequent Friday. Breezy.
