Mostly cloudy with occasional showers, these mainly of rain at first but turning increasingly wintry as the day goes on, with slight falls on the hills. A few sunny intervals. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds. Feeling colder. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

There will be a mixture of clear intervals and wintry showers of sleet hail or snow, which may give a slight covering in places mainly over higher ground. Strong northwesterlies. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Thursday 26 March :

Wintry showers becoming isolated then dying out, some sunny spells as the northwesterly winds ease. Cloud and light rain will arrive in the evening with strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Friday and Saturday will bring clear or sunny intervals and showers, with strong winds at times. Wet and windy for a time on Sunday then brighter with showers later.
