Tonight:

A cloudy evening for Orkney with some rain but brighter over Shetland. Clear spells and showers overnight, these falling as sleet or hail at times. Strengthening northwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday 5 May :

A mixture of sunshine and blustery showers, heavy and wintry at times. Feeling unseasonably cold with a fresh northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

A touch of frost early Wednesday then mainly dry and bright, but showers arriving later. Rain or showers Thursday and Friday. Feeling rather cool for the time of year.
