A mixture of sunny then clear spells and a few passing showers. Winds a moderate to fresh southwesterly veering westerly. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Saturday 9 May :

Orkney mainly dry with some sunny spells and just the odd shower. Shetland will see more in the way of showers. Light to moderate breeze. Colder. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Bright, showery start on Sunday, perhaps wintry over Shetland, then cloudy with rain. Drier and brighter on Monday then showery and breezy on Tuesday.
