Today 11 May :

There will be a few showers through the morning, otherwise dry with some bright or sunny intervals. Cold but the occasionally fresh northerly wind easing. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with some brightness at first, but cloud and rain spread west into Orkney through the evening, reaching Shetland overnight. Clearer spells and blustery showers arriving by morning. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Tuesday 12 May :

Cloud and rain soon clearing Shetland. Otherwise bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Drier for a time in the afternoon. Blustery west to northwest winds, easing in the evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Rather cold with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers through Wednesday and Thursday. Breezy at times on Thursday. Mostly dry and bright Friday, but the odd shower possible first thing.
