A band of cloud and rain will pass over Orkney in the early morning with the rain becoming patchy before crossing Shetland in the early afternoon. Sunny spells with the odd shower will follow from the south. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and showers will increase over Orkney from the evening, the showers will clear towards midnight. Shetland will stay dry overnight, bright at first becoming cloudy from late evening. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday 6 June :

The day will be cloudy but mostly dry. Patchy rain may reach Orkney for a time in the early afternoon and Shetland in the late afternoon. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloud and rain will clear north Sunday afternoon. Bright or sunny spells will follow through the rest of the period with showers at times. Breezy.
