Cloudy with outbreaks of rain but drier and brighter weather will reach Orkney in the morning, then reach Shetland in the afternoon. Light south-westerly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

A dry end to the day with some sunshine. Shetland will remain dry with clear spells overnight but some showers will spread east over Orkney. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday 9 June :

A lot of dry and bright weather with light winds. A few showers over Orkney, spreading to Shetland in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly dry with sunny spells on Wednesday with the odd shower. Dry, bright and breezy on Thursday, perhaps some rain later. Sunshine and showers on Friday.
