A rather cloudy morning of showers for Orkney, with fresh westerly winds. Otherwise a mainly dry day with good sunny spells extending from Shetland to Orkney for the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry with occasional late sunshine. Cloud increasing overnight to bring some scattered light showers before dawn. Northerly winds increasing fresh to strong. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Sunday 14 June :

Northerly winds bringing mainly cloudy skies and a few light showers, though most of these will be confined to Shetland. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday mainly dry with some limited brighter spells and light winds. Tuesday and Wednesday cloudy with occasional areas of rain crossing from the south.
