A rather cloudy start to the day with a few light showers about, but these should die away by late morning with brighter spells building into the dry afternoon. Northerly winds initially strong across Shetland. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Orkney staying dry through the day, but a few light well scattered showers affecting Shetland. Some late sunshine then clear spells. Northerly winds fresh across Shetland. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday 15 June :

Another generally fair days weather in prospect with most dry with occasional brighter spells developing. Winds northeasterly and relatively light. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A change to more unsettled conditions with a series of rain bands crossing from the south. However, with winds staying southwesterly temperatures a little up on the seasonal averages.
