A rather cloudy start but sunny spells developing through the morning. Staying dry in the afternoon with some sunshine and light winds. Cloud building later in the day for Orkney. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tonight:
Despite a sunny evening for Shetland cloud will build with some rain spreading north from, chance of thunder for Orkney. Some brighter spells for Orkney by morning. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Saturday 27 June :
A cloudy start to the weekend but chance of some bright or sunny spells, a warm day, perhaps some showers for Orkney later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Early rain on Sunday clearing east, brighter spells in the afternoon. Becoming windy on Monday with a few light showers, less windy on Tuesday with mainly dry weather.
