A dry day with variable amounts of cloud. Often rather cloudy over Shetland with the best of the sunshine across Orkney. Feeling warm in the sunshine with light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly sunny start to the evening for Orkney but cloudier over Shetland. Cloud will also spread southeast across Orkney overnight. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday 14 July :

A cloudy morning with the odd spot of drizzle in places. Cloud breaking up during the afternoon with sunny spells developing. Light winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

High pressure will maintain the dry and settled weather through this period. Rather cool and cloudy at times but some bright spells too.
