The Commonwealth Games get underway today, 23 July, in Glasgow, officially opened by Sports Minister in the Scottish Government Maree Todd.
Scotland House will operate as a space for the athletes and their families, and as a central hub for business engagement, hosting a programme of sporting and business events throughout the Games.
Maree Todd said:

“The Games are expected to bring more than £150 million of economic benefit, supporting local businesses and jobs.
“ By bringing sport, culture and business together we will ensure Glasgow 2026 delivers benefits that extend far beyond the Games.”
74 Commonwealth Countries will be taking part in the Games which include 10 sports, 6 para sports, held across 4 venues.
