Cloudy at first with occasionally heavy rain clearing east. Then turning brighter with a few scattered showers. Strong to near gale force southwesterly winds soon veer northwesterly. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

A few scattered showers alongside strong northwesterly winds which will gradually decrease through the night. Turning mainly dry later with some clear spells for Shetland, but Orkney cloudier. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday 26 July :

A risk of patchy rain early for Orkney and a few showers for Shetland, otherwise largely dry with some sunny spells. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

An changeable period, often cloudy with the risk of rain or showers. Rain possibly heavy at times, but becoming generally drier and brighter through Wednesday.
