We were passing the Ring of Brodgar and were delighted to see that the gates were un-locked,  so we took the opportunity to actually walk round and touch each of the stones.

Mike took a lot of pics. of the lichen on the stones, some of which have their fruiting bodies – another bit of fortunate timing.

I see this one as looking like the Brodgar Eye
