A cloudy start with a few light drizzly showers. These will fizzle out then some bright spells will develop, mainly over Shetland. Light northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Some brightness over Shetland in the evening, otherwise cloudy and dry. Orkney will stay cloudy with a scattering of showers. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday 31 August :

A dry and bright start over Shetland. Cloud and showers across Orkney will spread into Shetland in the afternoon. Winds freshening later. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunshine and showers on Tuesday. Windy with showers or longer spells of heavy rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
