Variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny spells and just a few passing showers. Fresh southwesterly winds, occasionally strong at first this morning. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry this evening and overnight with clear periods. Chance of a few brief showers, these mostly for Shetland. Windy with fresh to strong southerly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday 27 September :

After a dry start rain, occasionally heavy, will spread northeast during the afternoon and clear during the evening. Strong occasionally gale south or southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Sunny spells and the odd shower on Monday, fresh southwesterly winds. Dry on Tuesday, strong to gale southeasterly winds. Rain spreading northeast for a time on Wednesday.
