A dry evening with cloud thickening and lowering. Overcast with low cloud overnight and a few spots of light rain possible. Strong southeasterly winds with gales or severe gales. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday 30 September :

Cloudy with rain, heavy at times, spreading northeastwards and clearing Orkney in the afternoon and Shetland in the evening. Strong southeasterly winds with gale risk diminishing through the day. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Largely dry Thursday with a the odd shower possible and sunny spells. Cloudy on Friday with rain spreading eastwards. Mostly cloudy with showers on Saturday. Breezy at times.
