The morning will continue dry with bright or sunny spells. Thickening and lowering cloud will spread east but the afternoon will remain dry. Fresh southerly wind. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

The evening will continue cloudy and dry but patchy rain will spread to Orkney towards midnight and Shetland later. Rain becomes widespread over Orkney towards morning. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday 31 October :

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain becoming locally heavy from mid-morning. The rain will clear Orkney towards the evening. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Rain clears Shetland early Sunday. This will be followed by clear or bright spells interspersed with the occasional shower Monday and Tuesday.
