More than £1 million in grants have been claimed for the first time since the scheme began. 161 heating and insulation measures have been installed in 119 Orkney homes over the past year.

Spaces are open to applications from anyone aged 16 and over for the Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating programme, including existing employees and new recruits of plumbing firms.
