Scotland’s Care Homes will be able to offer a wider range of health and well being services to their residents from 7th of September.

“Social Care staff provide a critical and valuable service, never more apparent than during this emergency period.”
A digital hub has been established to support workers in Health and Social Care and Carers with their physical and mental health.
“We have now informed councils that any additional expenditure to maximise the care available to our communities, aligned to work that is already underway, will be covered by the Scottish Government.”
One of the recommendations is to develop a National Centre for Remote, Rural and Island Care.

An interim policy on pensions is to be put in place by the Scottish Government to support the retention of experienced NHS Scotland staff.
