The initiative, a collaboration between the Rural Youth Project and Smart Village Scotland, is the world’s first youth dedicated Smart Village.
The Elphinstone Institute at The University of Aberdeen has secured £150,000 for a new project to help build integrated and diverse communities in the North-East.
Orkney Islands Council still has funds available through the LEADER scheme for farm diversification.
Only 40% of the money allocated to the Local Action Groups’ £77.4 million has been allocated.
Applications are now open to Orkney Arts and Crafters who wish to develop themselves professionally and creatively.
The exhibition currently on at The Picky, Kirkwall is showing works by Lifestyles and the Solisquoy Printers.
The exhibition opens on Friday 13th April at the Pickie Centre, Kirkwall.
Round 8 closes on 21 February 2018.
