Hello from a busy Orkney Men’s Shed in Stromness.
In a debate on motion S6M-03064, in the name of Christine Grahame, on “Men Don’t Talk” the work of Men’s Sheds all across Scotland was highlighted.
“This week (06 June) was the first week that we met, as a ‘proper’ Shed,”
The Orkney News is very pleased to announce that as part of Scotland’s Year of Stories we have been awarded funding to make a series of short films highlighting stories from Orkney.
“a few of us have been down there on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few hours to clear up the old building…and generally get the building as set up and ready to go as far as possible, for when we’re allowed to eventually open the doors to our members.”
Tuesday, 7th December, saw a presentation to Orkney Men’s Shed of a cheque for £160 by the Orkney Native Wildlife Project.
