“The bottom line here – and I need to be really blunt about this – is that for this lockdown to be as effective as we need it to be, we must radically reduce the number of interactions we are having. “
“This study reports what many paediatricians have observed–while children rarely become ill with COVID-19, they have been significantly affected by the measures taken to reduce transmission of the virus.”Dr Karen Street.

In the first half of 2020 the SSPCA (Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) attended 121 reported incidents in Orkney. Across Scotland there were 119,564 calls about animals in need.
