Men of Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani heritage saw the steepest decline in their mental wellbeing during the Covid19 lockdown.

NHS Orkney commenced testing for Covid19 on April 20th 2020.
As of the 21st of June 2020 there had been a total of 4,119 deaths in Scotland where Covid19 was mentioned on the death registration.
As Scotland begins to move into Phase 2 of easing restrictions Orkney has recorded its 9th confirmed case of Covid19 in the islands.
This table illustrates the number of people (staff and residents) in care homes who have been tested in the last week.
The latest data confirms 555 tests have been carried out in Orkney so far, with 388 since the beginning of May. The figures are correct as of the 1st of June 2020.
A spokesperson for Orkney Islands Council said:”We would reassure the public that there have categorically been no positive Covid19 tests in Orkney’s care homes, whether that be staff or residents. “
Test and Protect – the national strategy aimed at managing the spread of COVID-19 and breaking the chain of transmission – is formally underway in Orkney.
Care homes again are where the majority of deaths are occurring at 52% of all Covid related deaths.
