Evidence has now come to light from the University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute research excavation at the Ness of Brodgar of woven textiles in use 5,000 years ago.
The project titled ‘Augmented Fashion: Immersive Interactions for Sustainable Heritage in Fashion and Textiles’ involves RGU working with industry partners across Scotland and academics in Shangahi, China.
This year will see commemorations to mark the signing of The Declaration of Arbroath in 1320.
