Success for Kirsteen Stewart in Hong Kong

Orkney College UHI Art & Design lecturer Kirsteen Stewart has recently returned from a whirlwind trip to Hong Hong.

Kirsteen was in Hong Kong promoting her designs of Mixter Maxter knitwear.

On the 22nd March and Kirsteen was  setting up her own showroom at Garage Collective alongside 3 other British brands – Cats Brothers, Jennifer Kent and Teatum Jones.

The showroom proved to be a successful first event.

Although she had very little time to explore Hong Kong, she did manage to fit in a visit to Gucci’s new multi media exhibitions “A Magazine Curated by Alessandro Michele” at PMQ.  As she was looking for new ideas for Pop up spaces and trade show stands.

On her last day in Hong Kong she visited the Artwell Cashmere showroom and factory.  She had  a lot to thank Artwell for, as they offered her the opportunity to work with Hawick through the co-ordination of Scotland Redesigned and Hawick Cashmere. Artwell produce for Burberry amongst other luxury brands and this is apparent in the production and fine finishing techniques they have perfected over a life time of working with cashmere.
