Orkney Rape Crisis is in the process of becoming an independent charity. As a result of this they are seeking people who would be interested in serving as Board members.
A statement from Orkney Rape Crisis says:
“If you , or someone you know is interested in community safety, improving support for survivors of sexual violence, changing attitudes and promoting equality then you might like to consider finding out more and/or sharing this information with a friend or colleague.
We are holding an Information Evening at the St Magnus Centre, Palace Road, Kirkwall on Monday, 24th April, at 5.30pm. Refreshments from 5pm.
While no experience is necessary we are particularly eager to recruit potential trustees with a range of knowledge and skills including HR, Accountancy/Financial Management, Business Development, Social Media, Fundraising, Violence against Women and Third Sector Development, Youth Work and Education. Time, a commitment to equality, and enthusiasm are also great assets.
Full support and induction training will be given, and expenses will be paid.”
