Phil Godfrey was planning to walk from the Scillies Isles right on to Shetland. This was in memory of his wife Christine who was diagnosed with APS in 2005 and who passed away in January 2015.
My last day on Scilly
After another hearty breakfast at Wingletang, I found that it was low cloud and heavy rain. Went to Radio Scilly and did an interview, which was quite well and very searching.
I visited the Steamship Company and found NO flights from Scilly, so with a heavy heart I transferred to the Scillonian. I had to go to the Health Centre for sea sickness tablets and managed to introduce the surgery to APS and the ELEARNING module.
The trip across on the boat very rather rough with a heavy swell, but slept mostly and had no bad effects.
Once off the ship, I managed to find Neil and Ali, and taken back their lovely cottage for the night. Our evening meal was at the Trewellard Arms, where we had a really superb meal, f&c of course 12/10.
Stage 2 completed, having had a truly wonderful time on Scilly
