Halcyon Days/Strong and Stable

Life used to seem so simple

so carefree so divine,

the days stretched out forever

the sun did always shine.

Wearing rose coloured tinted glasses

the past we do re-write,

reality of life back then

was really not so bright.

So as we head for Brexit

hard questions we must ask,

no matter how uncomfortable

Politicians must,

get held to task.

The White cliffs coming closer

and Lemmings we shall be,

if they don’t get a good deal

we’ll,

all end up in the sea.

For me the choice is easy

a Lemming I shan’t be,

cos when it comes to voting

my trusts in SNP.
