These little frogs were rescued as frogspawn from a drying puddle on an Orphir smallholdings entrance track. Quite apart from the puddle drying out, being run over by 2 1/2 tons of Land Rover wouldn’t do the subsequent tadpoles much good! These have been in a “frog nursery” in Kirkwall and were reintroduced in the same area with access to water in one of the holdings ditches away from the entrance track.
