moneyThe deadline to apply for registration and  business plans for Tycoon in Schools has been extended to 20th October.

The competition which has been running for 6 years includes both primary and  secondary schools.

It  is open to applicants aged 5-18 years, attending primary or secondary school in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, from both the private and state sector. In addition, students aged 18 and under in Further Education College are also eligible to take part.

Schools apply for start up loans. Every school can enter a maximum of five teams. Primary schools have loans of up to £100 per team available (a maximum of £500 per primary school); and secondary schools and Further Education colleges have loans of up to £1,000 available per team (a maximum of £5000 per secondary school), on submission of  a fully-costed business plan per team or individual.
