Lost in Time the next exhibition at the Northlight Gallery Stromness is by Annie Wright.

Lost in Time contrasts photos of the Middle East and North Africa with those taken in Ireland and Orkney, regions that are either very dry or extremely wet;the Sahara meets bog and the North Atlantic ocean.

The images range from monuments and artefacts to temporary structures and found objects that are often ignored but are at the very heart of a place and its history.

Most of the photographs were created through chance encounters rather than intention, a process of being and seeing where the ephemeral can be sustained in a camera’s blink.
