This is the busiest time of year for Father Christmas but he still took time out of his schedule to visit Kirkwall.

Helped by elves and his reindeer from the Orkney Rotary Club he went on a tour of Kirkwall.

Santa greeted all the children and shoppers out in the town and his elves collected for local charities and the islands’ care homes.

Santa will be out again in Kirkwall so give him a wave if you see him and mind on and help out his elves with a wee donation.
