This week sees the opening of the Student’s Exhibition of Fine Arts and Textiles at Orkney College UHI, Kirkwall. The Orkney News popped along on Friday where we caught up with some of the Students involved in years 1-3 and their works.
First we spoke to 21 year old Kelly Marwick from Kirkwall who is in her third year of studying for her Fine Art BA Hons.
We then spoke to Ruth Tait from Birsay who is a part time mature student, studying toward her Fine Art and Textiles BA Hons.
Sue Whittingham from Hoy (originally the Midlands) is also a mature part time student who is currently at level 2 of her Fine Art course where she is hoping to attain level 4.

The Degree show opening night is on the 21st of June.
The Exhibition of work is on from the 18th to the 27th of June at the Orkney College campus in Kirkwall from 10am to 5pm with late openings on Monday and Wednesdays till 7pm.
We shall pop along again on Monday evening to catch up with the Degree course students. The Degree Show will be open from 1pm on 18th of June.
