Unite the union is to suspend industrial action on the Alwyn, Dunbar and Elgin rigs which was to take place on the 3rd of September.

Talks at the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) are to take place with Total over the offshore industrial dispute.

Unite and Total have jointly agreed to ACAS’ mediation and currently both parties await dates for the independent body’s availability.

Unite as a gesture of goodwill,  will suspend the industrial action scheduled to take place on 3rd September .
